The Recipe Lab (filmrecipelab.com) and the "Recipe Lab – Save Film Recipe" Chrome extension are run by Snapsbytaha, a sole proprietorship in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This page explains what we collect and why. Questions or deletion requests: snapsbytaha@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in with Google or an email link, we store your email address and a user ID. If you set a display name for Community, we store that too.
- Recipes you save. The settings, name, notes and any links you save to My Recipes. If you share a recipe to Community, it and your display name become public.
- Photos you attach to a shared recipe. Only if you choose to upload them to Community.
- Reports. If you report a Community recipe, we store the report and who sent it.
- Purchases. If you buy the Send to camera unlock, we store that your account has paid, the amount, currency, the email you used at checkout and Stripe's payment reference. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
What stays on your device
- Photos you preview in the Lab, including RAW files, are processed in your browser and are never uploaded.
- Your camera's settings. Send to camera talks to your camera over USB from your browser. The backup of your custom settings is kept in your browser (and in a file if you download it). Nothing about your camera is sent to us.
- Small preferences, like having ticked the warranty notice, are kept in your browser's local storage.
The Chrome extension
The extension reads the page you are on only when you click its button, to find a film recipe in the text. It does not run in the background, track your browsing, or send page contents to us. When you choose to save a recipe, it opens the Recipe Lab with that recipe's settings in the address so you can review and save it. Its only stored setting is the Recipe Lab address.
Who processes your data
- Supabase stores accounts, recipes, Community photos and purchase records.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Google handles "Sign in with Google" if you use it.
We don't sell your data, show ads, or use advertising trackers in the Recipe Lab.
Your choices
You can delete any saved recipe or Community post yourself in My Recipes. To delete your whole account and everything linked to it, email snapsbytaha@gmail.com from the address you sign in with. We keep payment records only as long as tax law requires.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Big changes will be announced on the site.
