Preview only: it imitates the camera's processing. Film simulations use Fujifilm's own F-Log2 LUTs; Nostalgic Neg, Pro Neg Hi, Monochrome, Sepia and the Acros filters are fitted to Fujifilm's own sample photos. Sample photos are RAW files by @snapsbytaha. Your own photo stays on your device.

How to use the lab

  1. Pick a photo

Choose one of the sample photos under the preview, or tap Your photo to try one of your own. Use a RAW file (Fujifilm RAF, or DNG and other RAWs) for the truest preview: the recipe is developed from the sensor data, like in the camera. JPEGs work too. Your photo stays on your device.

  2. Load a recipe

Choose one in Start from a recipe: the built-in recipes, your My Recipes, or ones from Community. Every setting below fills in.

  3. Change settings one at a time

Each setting is a dropdown, the same as the camera menu. The photo updates as soon as you change one. Tap next to any setting to learn what it does.

  4. Compare before and after

Drag the white line across the photo, or focus it and use the arrow keys. Untick Compare to see only the result.

  5. Save it

Name it under Keep it and save it to My Recipes. Open it any time from My Recipes, or share your own recipes in Community.

The lab imitates the camera, so treat it as a preview. Film simulations use Fujifilm's own color data; the other settings are close estimates. Grain, sharpness and noise reduction are easiest to judge up close, so zoom in on the page to check them.
